Call for Poems and Art

SPECTRUM ANNUAL SAN GABRIEL VALLEY POETRY FESTIVAL BROADSIDE/CHAPBOOK/BOOK CONTESTS

Send one poem of 50 lines or less for the broadside contest, 10 poems of 50 lines or less for the chapbook contest, and/or 25 poems of 50 lines or less for the book contest and a 150 words or less bio in the body of an email message or attached in a Word file to donkingfishercampbell@gmail.com by 11:59 PM on April 4th. Winners will get 25 published copies of their work as prize.

Winning poets will be invited to pick up their prize copies and read as part of the 2020 San Gabriel Valley Poetry Festival on Saturday, April 25th between 3 and 5 pm inside the backroom of the Santa Catalina Branch Library on 999 E. Washington Blvd. in Pasadena.

SPECTRUM 23: TO BE OR NOT...

Send up to three poems on the subject of life and death, totaling up to 150 lines in length including stanza breaks, and a 150 words or less bio in the body of an email message or attached in a Word file to donkingfishercampbell@gmail.com by 11:59 PM on May 10th. Black and white artwork is also desired. Please send in JPG form.

Poets and artists published in Spectrum 23 will be invited to pick up their contributor's copy and read or present on Saturday, June 6th between 3 and 5 pm at Studio On 4 on the fourth floor of the main Pasadena Library on 285 E. Walnut St. in Pasadena.

SPECTRUM SPECIAL EDITION: SCHOOLDAZE

Send up to three poems on the subject of school, totaling up to 150 lines including stanza breaks, in the body of an email message or attached in a Word file to donkingfishercampbell@gmail.com by 11:59 PM on June 13th. Color artwork is also desired. Please send in JPG form.

Poets and artists published in Spectrum Special Edition: Schooldaze will be invited to pick up their contributor's copy and read or present on Saturday, June 27th between 3 and 5 pm inside the backroom of the Santa Catalina Branch Library on 999 E. Washington Blvd. in Pasadena.
